(UNDATED)–ONE PERSON IS DEAD AFTER A SHOOTING

IN THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY PORTION OF AUSTIN FRIDAY

NIGHT. WILLIAMSON COUNTY DEPUTIES WERE CALLED TO

THE 9800 BLOCK OF COPPER CREEK IN THE UNINCORPORATED

AREA OF THE CITY OF AUSTIN AROUND 10:30 FRIDAY NIGHT.

DEPUTIES DISCOVERED A DECEASED MALE WHO HAD AN

APPARENT GUNSHOT WOUND. THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY

CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION IS TREATING THE

CASE AS A HOMICIDE. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION IS

ASKED TO CALL WILLIAMSON COUNTY CRIMESTOPPERS

(ROCKDALE)–THREE ROCKDALE POLICE OFFICERS

ARE BEING HONORED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR VALOR.

CAPTAIN STEPHEN GOODRICH, SGT. MICHAEL HUBNIK,

AND OFFICER COREY PUENTE HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO

RECEIVE THE 2024 STATE OF TEXAS LAW ENFORCEMENT

ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR VALOR. THEY WERE NOMINATED

BY ROCKDALE POLICE CHIEF JERRY MEADORS. THE

CEREMONY WILL BE HELD FRIDAY JUNE 21ST AT 10 AM

AT THE LADY BIRD JOHNSON AUDITORIUM ON THE

UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS CAMPUS IN AUSTIN.

(UNDATED)–A ROUND TOP WOMAN WAS KILLED IN

A 2 VEHICLE HEAD-ON CRASH NEAR THE WASHINGTON-BURLESON

COUNTY LINE AROUND 6:30 THURSDAY EVENING. 73 YEAR OLD

PATRICIA TIDWELL WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE.

(ROCKDALE)–GUNS WERE REPORTED STOLEN FROM A

ROCKDALE BUSINESS. EIGHT GUNS WERE REPORTED STOLEN

FROM MAJIK FIREARMS IN ROCKDALE ON MAY 9TH. OWNER

TONY ELLIS SAID HE’S PAID ABOUT 8 THOUSAND DOLLARS TO

REPAIR DAMAGE TO THE STORE WINDOW, DOOR, GLASS

CASE AND TO REPLACE THE STOLEN HANDGUNS. ROCKDALE

POLICE CHIEF JERRY MEADORS SAID THEY HAVE REPORTS

FROM OTHER POLICE AGENCIES IN SURROUNDING AREAS

ABOUT SIMILAR BURGLARIES. ANYONE WITH INFORMATION

ABOUT THIS BURGLARY IS ASKED TO CALL ROCKDALE POLICE

(CALDWELL)–THE BURLESON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

IS INVESTIGATING A SCHOOL SHOOTING THREAT THAT WAS

WRITTEN ON THE BATHROOM WALL AT CALDWELL HIGH

SCHOOL. THE THREAT SAID A SHOOTING WAS PLANNED

FOR MAY 6TH. THE THREAT WAS REPORTED TO THE

PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE AND THEN TO THE BURLESON COUNTY

SHERIFF’S OFFICE. 10 BURLESON COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES

WERE ON ALL CALDWELL I-S-D CAMPUSES ON MAY 6TH.

MESSAGE OR WHEN IT WAS WRITTEN.
