(THORNDALE)–A JOINT OPERATION INVOLVING

THE MILAM COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE, THE ROCKDALE

POLICE DEPARTMENT, THE BELTON POLICE DEPARTMENT,

AND THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DIVISION OF THE

TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY LED TO THE

ARREST OF A MAN AND THE SEIZURE OF 28 GRAMS OF

METHAMPHETAMINE. AS WELL AS ITEMS INDICATING

FRAUDULENT USE OR POSSESSION OF IDENTIFYING

INFORMATION. LAW OFFICERS EXECUTED THE SEARCH

WARRANT IN THE 1300 BLOCK OF COUNTY ROAD 457,

SOUTH OF THE CITY OF THORNDALE AROUND 11 AM

ON THURSDAY DEC. 1ST. OFFICERS ARRESTED A THORNDALE

MAN ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS FROM CORYELL COUNTY.

POLICE SAY TONY NAPUTI WILL BE CHARGED WITH FELONY

MANUFACTURE OR DELIVERY OF METHAMPHETAMINES

AND FELON IN POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, AND THE

INVESTIGATION IS CONTINUING.

(ROCKDALE)–ROCKDALE’S CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

IS COMING UP THIS WEEKEND. KIDS IN ROCKDALE CAN

ENJOY BREAKFAST WITH SANTA ON SATURDAY DEC. 3RD

FROM 7:30 TO 10 AM AT THE PATTERSON CIVIC CENTER.

COMMERCE CHRISTMAS PARADE IS COMING UP SATURDAY

IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN THORNDALE. PARADE ENTRY

CHECK-IN AND LINE-UP WILL BEGIN AT 10 AM. ALL

ENTRIES SHOULD BE LINED UP BY 12:30 PM, AND THE

PARADE BEGINS AT 1 PM. SANTA CLAUS WILL BE IN THE

PARADE AND WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE CHAMBER

BUILDING AFTER THE PARADE FOR PICTURES. THERE

WILL BE CRAFT AND FOOD VENDORS.

(AUSTIN)–A BODY THAT WAS FOUND IN THE

WILLIAMSON COUNTY AREA OF AUSTIN MIGHT BELONG

TO A MAN WHO WENT MISSING A MONTH AGO,

ACCORDING TO INVESTIGATORS. AUSTIN POLICE AND

THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE ARE

INVESTIGATING AFTER A BODY WAS FOUND NEAR

RONALD REAGAN BOULEVARD AND INTERSTATE 35

IN WILLIAMSON COUNTY THURSDAY MORNING.

POLICE SAY THE BODY COULD BELONG TO JUSTIN

HADEN, WHO HAS BEEN MISSING SINCE NOV. 1ST.

(BASTROP)–BASTROP POLICE SAID NO BOMB

WAS FOUND AFTER SOMEONE CALLED IN A BOMB THREAT

TO A BASTROP STORE THAT LED TO AN EVACUATION.

JUST AFTER 5:30 PM, THE BOMB THREAT WAS CALLED

IN TO THE BASTROP WALMART. THE STORE WAS

EVACUATED OUT OF AN ABUNDANCE OF CAUTION.

BASTROP POLICE, BASTROP I-S-D POLICE AND THE

BASTROP FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO THE SCENE.

NOTHING WAS FOUND. POLICE GAVE THE ALL CLEAR

AFTER ABOUT 2 HOURS.

(UNDATED)–A MILAM COUNTY CHURCH WAS

RECENTLY RECOGNIZED WITH A TEXAS STATE HISTORICAL

MARKER. SAN GABRIEL BAPTIST CHURCH RECOGNIZED THE

OCCASION SUNDAY WITH A DEDICATION CEREMONY

SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THE CHURCH WAS FOUNDED IN

THE MID 19TH CENTURY. EUNICE STEGALL, SECRETARY

OF THE MILAM COUNTY HISTORICAL COMMISSION AND

A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH, WAS ON THE COUNTY
