The American Legion Post 6 in downtown Lexington invites you to their Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, February 23rd from 8 am – 10 am. On the menu: Pancakes, Eggs, Sausage, Coffee and Juice. There is no charge for breakfast, but a free will donation will be accepted.

The 12th Annual Policeman-Fireman of the Year Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, February 23 at the Rockdale KC Hall. This is a time to honor our Policemen and Firemen as they work so selflessly to protect the community. The event ticket will include a BBQ plate, a dance, silent auction, and live auction. Tickets are on sale at the Police Department located on Hwy 79. There will be a Mardi Gras Bash at the Simon and George Hall Saturday, February 23rd, starting at 6 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 18 and under. There will be Mardi Gras Cuisine, door prizes, auction items, and games for the kids. All proceeds benefit the Christine Holcombe Memorial Scholarship Fund.

There will be a rainwater harvesting 101 workshop on Friday, March 22nd, from 1 pm-4 pm at the District Office in Milano. The Bartlett VFD Station 2 in Davilla will be having their annual Station Review and Fundraiser Saturday, March 30th, from 10 am-2 pm. There will be sausage wraps, chips, and drinks for sale. There will also be a bounce house and cotton candy for the kids.

The 7th annual Milam County Aggie Moms Golf Tournament will be Saturday, April 6th at Cameron Country Club. The 4-person scramble tourney will have shotgun start times of 9 am and 1 pm. Pack Pals a 501c (3) non-profit organization currently serving the children of Rockdale and Milano School Districts is looking for donations. This program provides weekend supply of nutritious food for children when school lunch of breakfast is unavailable on a weekday, weekend or school holiday.
